    Yes.

    Currently FICO breaks your score down as follows;

    1. Payment history 35%
    2. Time in bureau 15%
    3. Types of credit 10%
    4. New credit 10%
    5. Payment history 30%

    People need 3 credit card accounts (revolving) with balances below 30% of their limits and 2 cars, boats, homes, furniture or personal accounts (installment) all with good long pay history’s for the best score and profile.

    Under the new FICO 2008 edition they are going to give a higher percentage to types of credit used but have not released that information as yet.
